Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) hasn’t had the easiest of years in EastEnders, but the young woman thinks that she might have found happiness in the form of Leo King (Tom Wells) who — unbeknown to her — is the son of sex abuser Tony (Chris Coghill) who abused her a decade ago, and things heat up between the pair in the coming episodes.

After Whitney discovered that her fiance Callum (Tony Clay) had slept with Ben (Max Bowden), she called off the wedding and — needing some time to herself — resolved to go away on her honeymoon alone.

However, following her return, it soon came to light that she’d engaged in a whirlwind holiday romance while abroad — and her secret fella was none other than Leo, who viewers had seen threaten Bianca (Patsy Palmer) on a number of occasions a few weeks earlier.

Whitney’s been wary of entering into another relationship so soon after Callum, but — with Leo portraying himself as the perfect gentleman — she’s finding it hard to resist his charm. In the coming episodes, the day of The Queen Vic’s annual halloween party arrives, and — during the celebrations — Chantelle (Jessica Plummer) encourages Whitney to speak to Leo.

Later, Leo and Whitney talk and — with the chemistry between them evident — they share a passionate kiss.

It’s safe to assume that Leo’s plan is well underway, but will Whitney discover the truth before it’s too late?
